Music That Moves
Blending the Brit-rock influence of his Moody Blues keyboardist father with the Cali-pop of his childhood, Michael Lee Pinder creates thought-provoking melodies spiced with just enough pulsating guitars to add the bite of alt rock to his signature sounds. Equally versed in piano-pop and folk-rock, Michael’s songs adeptly fuse acoustic and electric elements.
As one half of The Pinder Brothers, Michael has three studio albums under his belt. His brother,
Matthew, supplies the grizzly bass hooks and euphonic vocals.
Finding inspiration from his father's vinyl sound of the 60s, Michael likes to take his successful musical family’s influences forward through exploring his own sounds and evolving them into new forms and music. With the strong belief that music should be an expression of emotion and personal contemplation, each lyric represents set intention and meaning, incorporating a sense of Michael’s poetry and personal feeling into each word. In fact, because of his strong connection to writing, Michael is also working on his first book of poetry and has been attracting a base of loyal followers online.
Always hungry to explore uncharted creative dimensions, Michael is currently recording an album of explosive new solo music. Indie rock enthusiasts will appreciate retro sounds with a modern twist, choruses that take you up and don't want to let you down, and a deeper window into Michael’s artistry. A wealth of emotion runs through his compelling arrangements and evocative wordplay, inviting the listener to re-imagine the world, one line at a time.
